Local Crime Novelist Visits Welland Writers

Market Harborough author Malcolm Noble, who sees his fifth novel published this month, will visit the Welland Writers Group on Wednesday 19 March 2008

Malcolm and his wife Christine have run the Bookcabin in Coventry Road, Market Harborough since 1997. He previously served with the Portsmouth Police, a chapter in his life that provides some background to his detective stories.

The Parish of Frayed Ends is the latest in his series of mystery novels, set in a south coast seaport in the 1960’s. Malcolm said, “When my first novel appeared in 2004, I didn’t imagine that the story would develop into a saga told through a series of books. I am very grateful to those readers who have showed their support.”

The novels are available from general bookshops and internet sales sites. The books are also featured on the Bookcabin’s website: www.bookcabin.co.uk

The Welland Writers Group came together following a local creative writing course. Some members of the group have already had work published. The group meets most Wednesdays at 10 o’clock at Great Bowden Village Hall.
